Aunque todavía estamos en noviembre de 2007, como cada año, al poner la DC Comics la fecha de portada con antelación, ya han llegado a las tiendas los primeros números fechados como enero 2008, así que empezamos esta página con esos ocho primeros ejemplares del nuevo año que deja atrás al "Año de Superman", el 2006, en el sentido cinematográfico, debido al estreno de la película de Bryan Singer "Superman Returns" y a la edición de todo tipo de DVDs recuperando todas las producciones de Superman en cine y televisión y que casi quedan recogidas en su totalidad en la caja metálica con 13 DVDs titulada "The Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition". Sin embargo, en ese mismo nivel, este año debería de haber sido el año de la secuela cinematográfica de Bryan Singer, pero no lo será debido a que la mayoría de espectadores no han sabido captar la maravilla que supuso el regreso de Superman de las manos de Bryan Singer. Probablemente habrá que conformarse con otra película de superhéroes sin profundidad humana y sólo con acción y muy bonitos efectos especiales, cosa que hoy en día es lo de menos porque cada vez son más fáciles de hacer. También este año será el del día 29 de febrero, cumpleaños de Superman y su 70 aniversario como personaje de comic.
